Contraception after having a baby.

Hi!
I breastfed my baby for a month and a half before switching to a bottle. A few days later i had a little spotting, as though I was starting my period. I went back on the pill the same day and the bleeding stopped a day later. I don't think it was my period coming back, so having started taking the pill, I have carried on and have now been back on the pill for a week.
Should I carry on or stop taking it and wait for my period to come back on its own?
Thanks very much.

Finish your packet, then you should have a period, which would mean they have returned. If you don't, it is worth taking a pregnancy test, just to make sure.
