Essential makeup tools
Makeup artists seem to have a Mary Poppin's style bag of tools. What essentials should I have in my makeup bag?
Good quality brushes are essential if you want professional looking makeup. In my opinion, they are the most important tools a girl can have in her bag. The two main brushes that you need are for powder and blush, both of which should have soft, natural bristles. The powder brush has a large head of rounded bristles, whilst the smaller blush brush is slightly tapered in order to define your cheekbones. Good quality brushes are not cheap, but you can find excellent altenatives in art shops. Wash your brushes once in a whilse, using a gentle shampoo, to ensure thay they stay soft and clean. An eyeshadow brush is the next essential, you may also want one for lipstick and eyeliner (depending on your makeup routine). Double sided eyebrow/lash combs are also useful, as are eyelash curlers, and makeup sponges. Other necessities include a double pencil sharpener, tweezers, cotton wool buds and tissues.
