Blood in saliva
I decided to stop smoking about two months ago, at which time I was smoking between 10 and 15 cigarettes a day. I didn't get very far, and started again after about a month and a half, but only about three a day. Some days I don't smoke at all. For the last few weeks, my nose has been much more blocked than it was when I smoked more, and there is blood in my spittle. It's quite worrying, what is causing it? Thanks very much.
You're right to be worried, go straight to your doctor. It's not normal to find blood in your spittle, it may be nothing, but you should get it checked out anyway.
