Pregnancy and flying

Hi, I'm 10 weeks pregnant and want to fly to Portugal on holiday this summer. Do I need to take any special precautions? I was wondering about DVT socks as well. Thanks very much, this is a very informative site!

If you've had no problems so far, then short and medium-haul flights shouldn't cause any difficulties. It would be a good idea to wear some Deep vein Thrombosis socks anyway, and make sure you drink plenty of water. Get someone else to carry the bags as well!
