Painful sex after having a baby.

Sex has been very painful since I had my baby, especially as my partner enters me, almost as if I am giving birth again. Once he is in I can enjoy it, but it is always very difficult at the beginning.
Is this normal and what can I do about it? I was wondering if perhaps I have not recovered properly from the episiotomy. Thanks for your help, without your advice, many women wouldn't know where to turn! Thank you.

You may have a little local scarring in the vaginal opening. Make an appointment to see your doctor for an internal examination, to find out what the problem is.
