Reapeated ceasarean sections.

Hello,
I'm 44, with 3 children and I want to have another baby. I have already had three caesarean sections. Will it be possible for me to have another pregnancy and give birth with no risk to the baby? My youngest child is now three. Thank you, Laura.

You may have problems conceiving at 44, as by this age fertility levels are dropping rapidly. A pregnancy now would carry a much greater risk for both you and the baby, you will definately find it harder, but it is not impossible. A fourth caesarean carries the same risks as your previous operations and your abdominal wall may now be weaker. It will take you a lot longer to recover from both the pregnancy and birth than with your prevoious children. Speak to your doctor to make sure you are aware of all the risks before making a decision.
