Asian skin, round face, oily complexion
Hello, I am Asian, with a round face and oily skin. I would like some advice on how to make myself up, becasue I don't really know which colours to choose. Thanks very much.
If you skin has a tendency to shine, make sure that you apply a shine-control foundation, and use powder. The skin is the most important part of your face, so treat it carefully. Use either compact or loose powder, which is best applied with a brush, all over the face. For foundation, pick a shade that is slightly deeper than your natural skintone.
You can lengthen a round face, by brushing triangles of blusher from the apples of your cheeks out to your temples, but don't overdo it! Asian features don't tend to need too much make-up, but brown eyes can usually take most colours, so you're free to co-ordinate with your outfits. Warm tones like apricots and pinks will suite you, but also more surprising colours like pastel greens and blues. Brush colour up to your socket line for a soft look, or use warmer, deeper colours for evening, like copper, bronze, and chocolate tones, following the shape of your eyes. Black or dark brown eyeliner will emphasise your eyes, practise drawing round your lashlines, then winging the colour slightly out to the sides. Smudge for doe eyes, then curl your lashes and brush on mascara to open your eyes. You can take strong lipstick colours, so experiment!
