Ammonia Allergy

I am 43 and going from chestnut brown to grey - I cannot use permanent hair dye as I am allergic to ammonia. Semi-permanent stuff is ok, but fades quickly and my hair looks 2-tone. Do you have any ideas?

You are right to steer away from product containing ammonia (whether you are allergic or not), a it damages your hair. For a colour like yours, I would recommend choosing semi-permanent products with plant extracts. You will have to dye your hair roughly once a month, it is a hassle, but worth it I think.
