Chicken pox and pregnancy

Hello,
I've just spent the day looking after a child who has recently had chicken pox.
I'm three weeks pregnant and I wasn't aware he had just had chicken pox - have I put my baby at risk? What can I do?
Thanks very much in advance.

There's no need to worry if you have already had chicken pox yourself.
If the child in question had chicken pox more than 10 days ago, then they will no longer be contagious and no risk whatsoever to you. However, if they have had it more recently than that, you should go to the doctor for preventitive treatment.
