Two Twins Question

Hi, I've got two questions:
1. Is it possible to miss the presence of twins at an early scan?
2. Does expecting two babies mulitply by two pregnancy symptoms like nausea and tiredness during the first trimester? Thanks, Sheila

1. It depends when you have your scan, it can be difficult to give a definite answer if you have a scan before two months, as despite technological advances, mistakes can still be made at this stage. Your usual 10-week scan should give a more conclusive result.
2. Early-pregnancy symptoms have no link to multiple pregnancy. Remember that some women don't have many symptoms at all, sorry!
