2. Burberry Trench
The Burberry trench coat was first conceived in the 1890’s by Thomas Burberry as an alternative to the heavy overcoats worn by British and French soldiers in the First World War. Many of the coat’s original design elements—epaulettes, metal D-Rings, and storm flaps—still feature on the coat today even as it has taken on more modern and fresh incarnations. Hollywood star Humphrey Bogart was the first to give the coat a glamorous aura but these days you can see celebrities including Victoria Beckham and Alexa Chung wearing the classic topper. The Burberry Trench symbolises centuries of style and undeniable distinction.
