History: Sekhmet, meaning "power", was the goddess of war and quarrels. She caused droughts, famines and was generally at the root of human unhappiness. She started epidemics of disease, but also had the power to cure all illnesses, and would protect doctors and magicians. Her positive side is often likened to that of Bastet.
She is represented as a lioness, or a woman in a long tunic with the head of a lion. She was worshipped in Memphis.
Character: You are passionate, intransigent and proud in many ways, with a sturdy character. This doesn't always win you friends, even though you are often indulgent towards others. You rarely make mistakes, in fact you can be quite hard towards others. You rarely make mistakes, exercising enormous self-control. Behind a rather proud front, lies an honest, sensitive, careful person, who is searching for recognition and does not tolerate betrayal.
Attracted by the legal profession, in which you can give your observation skills, intelligence and work ethic free rein, you make sound judgements. People tread carefully so as not to cross you or rub you up the wrong way, even though your uncommunicative, undemonstrative attitude leaves a lot to be desired. You are also gifted in business. A perfectionist from tip to toe, you are never satisfied. A little flexibility and imagination and less self-criticism would free you from the pressure which you put on yourself, preventing you from realising your deepest desires.
