Commitment phobia

It might well have happened to you. You meet a great guy - he's charming, funny, generous and is seriously good looking.

You spend weeks together, going for strolls along the river, eating dinner in romantic restaurants and snuggling up in the cinema.

But a few months down the line, you start to worry. He still refuses to call you his girlfriend, he's hardly introduced you to any of his friends - let alone his family - and he only stays the night when he's after one thing.

Maybe he's just a bit of an idiot. But more likely, your man might have commitment phobia.

It's more common than you might think. Even the most secure of us can suffer from a bit of commitment phobia. But for some people it's so bad that they can't commit to anyone, even people they really like.

Fear not ladies. Commitment phobia can be overcome. Whether you're a commitment phobe or going out with someone suffering from commitment phobia, there's always a solution.

We spoke to Lyn Kelley, relationship coach and author of 'How to Cure a Commitment Phobic' who knows a thing or two about how to spot a commitment phobe and how to deal with it.
