Sexy messages came top of a list of ‘dumpable’ offences in a recent online YouGov poll [1] for vouchercode site www.everydaysale.co.uk, with the second most serious issue being poor personal hygiene (38 per cent). Offenders in Yorkshire and Humber are most likely to find themselves single if caught sending illicit messages with 62 per cent of people saying they’d split, closely followed by the North East with 59 per cent. 'My ex-boyfriend had sexy texts on his phone from some girl he claimed was just a friend - I stayed with him for a few months after that but after a while I realised I must have MUG tattooed on my forehead to fall for that line' says Amber, 22, from Surrey. “This is 21st Century cheating. Gone are the days of illicit encounters in hotel rooms and crossing your fingers that your partner doesn’t find out. Says Jeremy, 19, from Reading, 'it was only after my mates and I were comparing sexy texts down the pub that I realised she'd sent the same image to one of my (now ex-) friends!' There's a double warning there - you never know who's gonna end up seeing your saucy texts! 'I've sent my boyfriend compromising pictures of me' says Anita, 30, a grad-student from Taunton, 'He'd be for the chop if I found out he'd showed them to his mates!' The survey also found 22 per cent of women would dump their partner over a secret porn stash but only 3 per cent of men feel the same.
