Doe Deere - beauty entrepreneur

“I have always been entrepreneurial - I started my first business of selling temporary tattoos at the age of 14 and immediately saw the move as an opportunity to make something of myself.” Beauty entrepreneur Doe Deere, 29, is the beauty-brains behind Lime Crime, the hottest new lipstick label to arrive this side of the pond.

Born and raised in Russia, Doe’s family moved to the US in 1998 when she was 17: “I started a rock band and dabbled in fashion design. In 2003 I launched my first fashion line called - you guessed it - Lime Crime, because lime was my favourite colour.”

Her passion for beauty started early: “Even as a child I felt that cosmetics had a transformational ability. Having said this, I spent most of my teenage years as a make-up-free tomboy. I got back into cosmetics in my early 20s when I'd had enough of baggy pants and Metallica t-shirts.”
