In
the Bible, the lamb is a symbol for Christ. The lamb of
God represents a pure heart, without aggression or anger.
The lamb is a tender, docile animal, linked to spirituality
in many cultures, with great purifiying and forgiving
powers. Traditionally a sacrificial animal, the lamb is
a figure of redemption and innocence, often linked to
childhood.
The white lamb
The white lamb is a symbol of purification,
maybe a new understanding of a certain situation has put
things in a new light. This new outlook may give the dreamer
some relief from their worries, stresses and tensions.
The lamb's white coat is a symbol of hope in the dreamer's
life.
The sacrificial lamb
A lamb which has been sacrificed represents a clarification,
or loss of illusion, often the sacrifice of a desire or
wish linked to childhood. Maybe you have realised that
one of your dreams is unattainable or unrealistic.
This new outlook could be either positive, or negative,
depending on the dreamer's reaction. Provided that it
is accepted however, it will be a change for the good.
The lamb being eaten by a wolf
This is a completely different image to that of the sacrificial
lamb. The death of the lamb here, is most definately a
bad thing, representing threatened innocence. Be careful,
protect yourself from any dangers, especially from those
around you.
A flock of lambs or sheep
Sheep in flocks represent the dreamer's social instinct,
which leads them to seek out and make contact with other,
similar people. Sometimes we don't make enough time for
contact with others, maybe you need to take some time
out and to be with your friends: do something fun together,
go to a show, or go out somewhere.
It can also be a symbol of danger however, a sign that
you may be blindly following what others do or say, without
thinking for yourself. Don't be the proverbial sheep!
