 
The act of giving money can mean different things in different
situations.
Giving money to someone usually means that the dreamer is,
or should be appreciating the person more. Maybe you have
dreamt about giving money to your mother - this could mean
that you should pick up the phone and find out how she is!
Spending money means that the dreamer needs to devote more
energy to something, but it could also mean that they are
devoting too much time to something, depending on the context.
For example, if the dreamer buys themselves a new dress, it
may mean that they need to put more effort into their appearance.
If the dreamer spends too much money on clothes however, it
means they are becoming superficial and may need to take stock
of what is important to them. Acquiring an object usually
means the dreamer's self-worth has gone up and they have more
confidence in themselves, possibly as the result of personal
development. Dreaming about buying a new flat may indicate
a newly stable family or home life. Paying off debts is a
sign that the dreamer is aware of their predicament and knows
what steps have to be taken to sort out their problems.
