Avril Lavigne announces engagement on ex Brody's birthdayAvril Lavigne and Nickelback frontman Chad Kroeger have got engaged after a six-month romance.
The rock chick confirmed the happy news via Twitter yesterday - which coincidentally was the date of ex-boyfriend Brody Jenner's 29th birthday.
A family friend told People: "He makes her so happy. Both of their families could not be more excited."
Avril re-tweeted the article about her upcoming wedding and was soon replying to a flood of congratulatory messages. The pair got together in February when they co-wrote a song for 27-year-old Avril's fifth studio album. The friend said: "A romantic relationship blossomed as they spent time writing together." Avril only split from Hills reality star Brody in January after two years together. Before their relationship, she was married to Sum 41 rocker Deryck Whibley - but the union lasted less than three years. Let's hope Avril's finally found the man for her in 37-year-old Chad. |
