Kim Kardashian’s bitter rivalry with Beyoncé continues

Usually eager to be in the spotlight, Kim uncharacteristically avoided cameras at the event.

But Beyoncé, who was having a rare night off from looking after her seven-month-old daughter Blue Ivy, was spotted excitedly cheering on her husband during his show with Kanye.

Despite Kim and Beyoncé often finding themselves thrown together, their friendship has not developed.

Some believe that the pop star is deliberately keeping her distance after her fans criticised her for spending time with the Keeping Up With The Kardashian star back in June.

Beyoncé’s fans had taken to Twitter to express outrage at her budding friendship with Kim, whose route to fame was sparked by an appearance in a sex tape.

An insider recently revealed to the New York Daily News that Kim was determined to become friends with the Crazy In Love singer and has a strategic plan to gain Beyoncé's trust.

“She’s hung with them a few times already, but she isn’t saying peep about them,” a source told the paper.

“She’s not tweeting or taking pictures with Beyoncé because she doesn’t want to seem desperate.”

But it seems like the reality star’s strategy is doomed to fail as Beyoncé has been making a concerted effort to distance herself from any association with her.
