Harrison Ford says marriage to Calista Flockhart was a natural progression. The 'Indiana Jones' star married the 'Brothers & Sisters' actress last June because he felt like it was the next step in their relationship. He said: "We'd lived together for 10 years and it seemed like we were going to get along. And I love her and she wanted to get married, and I wanted to get married." As well as marrying Calista, Harrison also took on her 10-year-old adopted son Liam and the 68-year-old star says he's glad he's had the chance to become a father again. Harrison - who has four grown up children from his two previous marriages - told the July/August edition of AARP The Magazine: "I had my first children when I was 24. Babies raising babies is maybe not the prettiest thing in the world to watch. "I've learned a lot about being an appropriate father over the years." While little Liam has given him a new outlook on fatherhood, Harrison has also taken up flying, which he says has helped "reinvent" his life. He said: "Flying absolutely reinvented my life. When I'm flying, I've got to do it according to the rules, just like everybody else. I wanted to see whether I could learn something new. "I'm not cut any slack for any other reason. I'm just another pilot. I love it." |
