The 78-year-old creative director of Chanel previously caused uproar when he said that he “doesn't like Pippa's face”, but conceded that Kate Middleton’s sister had a beautiful derriere.
Now Karl has shared his views on the Duchess of Cambridge's mother Carole, 57, and it appears that the fashion designer might have a little crush on the Middleton matriarch.
He gushed to Grazia: “I think Carole is very sexy. I think the mother is sexier than the daughters. “There is something full of life about her. For a woman who must be 50 or so I think she's great. Full of energy.” Whether the designer is trying to get back in the good books of the Middleton family, or whether he genuinely has a crush on the mother-of-three is unknown, but he didn’t stop there with the uncharacteristic compliments. “I love Kate Middleton!" the outspoken fashion genius enthused. “She can try anything. For make-up, she has no limits!” He then back tracked on his previously cutting remarks about Pippa, after previously telling The Sun: “Her sister struggles. I don't like the sister's face. She should only show her back.” But the eccentric designer explained to Grazia: “I only meant I don't think her makeup is right.
