Davina McCall devastated as half-sister loses cancer battleDavina McCall is mourning the loss of her beloved half-sister Caroline Baday, who lost her battle with cancer yesterday.
The bubbly TV presenter has been devastated by the deterioration of her sister’s health and took to Twitter to pay a touching tribute to her close family member.
The 44-year-old tweeted a photo of Caroline smiling from her hospital bed with the caption: “My amazing sister.”
She added: “My beautiful brave sister Caroline (@madfroggy) lost her fight against cancer today. My heart hurts so much. Thank you for your kind messages... Xx.” Davina has barely left her sister’s side following her diagnosis and has been a constant source of support for Caroline, who is her mother's daughter from her first marriage. Davina first told her Twitter followers in June that her sister was “poorly” but didn't reveal the extent of the illness. Caroline called Davina her “rock” on her own Twitter page, and the last picture she posted shows her holding up a large bunch of flowers from her TV star sister. The Million Pound Drop Live presenter has had messages of support flooding in from fans as well as celebrity friends. Myleene Klass wrote: “I'm so sorry for your loss. The love sisters have is so special. X.” Emma Bunton added: “I am so sorry to hear this, thinking of you and your family at such a sad time. Sending you lots of hugs.” Fellow TV presenter Kate Thornton said: “I'm so, so sorry to hear that. Thoughts, prayers and hugs to you all. Sometimes life is too, too cruel x.” Our thoughts are with Davina at this difficult time. |
