Frankie Sandford cuts LA trip short after family deathFrankie Sandford has rushed home from America after finding out her grandfather has passed away.
The Saturdays singer, who's recording new music and filming a reality show Stateside, had to pull out of a gig so she could get home to her family. The 23-year-old tweeted yesterday: "Hey guys I've had some really sad news. My grandad has passed away. im going to go back to the UK for the funeral and to be with my family.
"Im gutted to be missing the Roxy show, I was really looking forward to it. But the show must go on. Sorry guys, hope you understand xxx."
She wrote: "Thank you all for your lovely messages xxxx."
The Saturdays - Frankie plus band mates Rochelle Wiseman, Una Healy, Mollie King and Vanessa White - have been spending a lot of time in the US in the hopes of cracking the notoriously difficult market. This has proved particularly difficult for Rochelle's husband Marvin Humes, as she went away soon after their wedding in July. Marvin, 27, told Look magazine: "We were in the honeymoon period and then she went to America. "She's back at the beginning of November and I'm counting down the days. But we're extremely strong and we talk on the phone loads." Despite the distance, it seems the couple will be hoping to have children soon.He added: "I'm so excited about becoming a dad, I can't wait. We're both keen to have a big family." |
