One Direction's Harry Styles spends £3million on new homeHarry Styles has spent an eye-watering amount of money on a plush pad in the capital.
The 18-year-old One Direction singer currently lives in London's East End, but is relocating to the more posh north of the city. A source told The Mirror: "A lot of Harry’s friends live in Primrose Hill and Belsize Park, so he wanted to move closer to them.“The new house is enormous compared to his old flat.
"It has four bedrooms and as many bathrooms, as well as a few huge, open-plan living areas. It’s the perfect party pad.”
Just last year Harry spent a comparatively modest £575,000 on his current flat - but 1D have had such a successful year that he clearly thinks it's time for an upgrade. The source continued: “The house has a gorgeous garden and high walls, so Harry won’t have fans watching his every move. "He’s already been spending lots of time in the area and becoming a regular in the local pubs.” One Direction have reportedly earned £100million since coming third on Simon Cowell's X Factor in 2010. Harry - plus band mates Niall Horan, Zayn Malik, Liam Payne and Louis Tomlinson - have their names to a string of successful products, including Nokia phones, Pokemon games and Hasbro toys. The boys' vast gains were let slip in the latest chapter of Simon Cowell’s unauthorised biography by former journalist Tom Bower. The controversial biographer explained: “One Direction were Cowell’s new Westlife - a revival of his mastery of the music business. “Nothing had been left to chance by Sony Music, with the band’s hit album Up All Night selling over five million copies. “The songs, publishing, discs, DVDs, merchandising and endorsements brought in huge profits, with the five members of the group together estimated to have earned nearly £100million. “Naturally, Sony and Syco raked in much more.” And the boys' wallets only look to get fatter with their upcoming album Take Me Home and 2013 world tour.Jealous, us?! |
