The actor has reportedly won back ex-girlfriend Amber Heard's affections by writing her a poem.
The big romantic is also said to have sent Amber a bouquet of roses every day throughout September, even though she'd vowed to stay single following their split in the summer.
But the actress finally cracked and is said to have flown to Johnny's private island in the Bahamas for a mini-break. Johnny, 49, met 26-year-old Amber when they co-starred in The Rum Diary last year and hooked up following his split from Vanessa Paradis in June.But their romance only lasted a few months.
A source said: “Although Amber and Johnny have electric chemistry, she felt that as they are both out of long-term relationships, they needed to be single for a while. “Johnny didn’t give up though - he missed her so much over the summer. They both love literature and the way he tried to win her back totally worked. “Once they flew to his island in the Bahamas for a romantic break a couple of weeks ago, they were back on as a couple." Amber is said to be keen to take things slowly - still finding time to see her friends regularly - but it seems Johnny is an all-or-nothing kinda guy. The source added: "Johnny's the type to fall hard and he’s vowed not to let a girl like Amber, who’s beautiful and intelligent, slip through his fingers.” Before he fell for Amber, Vanessa Paradis, 39, was with Johnny for 14 years and the pair have two children together. The model and actress has remained tight-lipped about their break-up, insisting the "pain" she experienced is no-one else's business but her own. But another of Johnny's exes who is more willing to talk about the Edward Scissorhands actor is Kate Moss, who dated him for four years until 1998. Though she's now happily married to rocker Jamie Hince, Kate, 38, looks back fondly on her romance with Johnny and the stability it brought her. She told Vanity Fair: "I believed what he said. Like, if I said: "What do I do?" he'd tell me. And that's what I missed when I left. "I really lost that gauge of somebody I could trust. Nightmare. Years and years of crying. Oh, the tears..." We think we'd find breaking up with Johnny pretty difficult, too! |
