Kate Middleton's family invited to the Queen's royal Christmas celebrationsThe Queen has broken with tradition and invited Kate Middleton's parents to join the royal family for Christmas.
The 86-year-old monarch and her loved ones spend every December 25th at her Sandringham Estate in Norfolk - and this year it looks like Carole and Michael Middleton could be joining them. It's not known whether Kate's sister Pippa or brother James will be taking part in the celebrations.
The Queen reportedly wants the two families to get together so that Kate - her granddaughter-in-law - will join in the celebrations "despite this difficult time". Kate and husband Prince William recently announced that they're expecting their first child together, but the pregnancy hasn't been an easy ride so far.
The 30-year-old wore a stunning slim-fitting Alexander McQueen dress, showing no signs yet of a baby bump. Days later, she and 30-year-old Wills attended a low-key festive lunch with members of their household staff at Bumpkin restaurant in Notting Hill. And yesterday Kate made an effort to be full of Christmas cheer when she attended the Queen's annual Christmas lunch at Buckingham Palace yesterday.
