Khloe Kardashian slams “distasteful and shameless” tabloid reportsAs part of the most famous reality TV family in the world, Khloe Kardashian’s life has been thrust into the spotlight.
Although she no doubt expects to be the centre of some tabloid speculation, in recent years the 28-year-old has been the subject of a number of cruel and misleading stories.
Khloe has had to face reports that she’s suffered secret miscarriages, she’s jealous of her sisters' pregnancies and that her marriage to Lamar Odom is crumbling.
Last year it was also alleged that the late Robert Kardashian is not her biological father - claims which were vigorously denied by her mother Kris Jenner.
Although Khloe has routinely denied these “false stories”, it looks as if the fashion designer has finally had enough of her personal life constantly being embellished by the media. The youngest of the Kardashian sisters has spoken out against the U.S. tabloids on her website, writing a strongly-worded blog slamming the fictional and hurtful reports. Barely concealing her temper, she wrote: “These blatant lies are distasteful and shameless. “It is disgusting that Life & Style and InTouch magazines continue to print these false stories about my life: the status of my marriage, false reports about a miscarriage, the horrible lie that my dad is not my biological father, jealousy over my sisters’ lives, etc. “It is a complete waste of time to address these reports every time they print these ridiculous and absurd tabloid stories, but not only are these stories untrue, they’re also unfair to the people who buy the magazines expecting to read accurate reports.” It’s suspected that the reality star was finally pushed over the edge by a picture of her and Lamar, which was published this week under the caption “Cheating Scandals”, along with the claim that the pair had split due to his alleged infidelity. Addressing the rumours of her marriage and pregnancy difficulties, Khloe added: “Anyone who pays attention to these things can easily see the incredible bond that everyone in my family shares. “I’m happily married to a wonderful man and fall in love with him more and more each day, and we’ll have a baby when god wants us to and when the time is right.” In addition to the post, she tweeted a link repeating her point, writing: “People say the truth hurts, but the truth is not what makes the tabloids money. I will admit, the false might cut a little deeper. At least the truth I can respect and grow from.” Khloe's mother Kris - who has a reputation for passionately defending her kids - also expressed her frustration at Khloe’s treatment by the media. She said: “I do my best to ignore the harmful, nasty and often mean-spirited tabloid rumours surrounding me and my family, but I can no longer remain silent amid the blatant lies I am constantly being asked about.” Addressing the allegations over Khloe's biological father, her rumoured marital problems with husband Bruce Jenner and the leaking of Kim’s sex tape, she continued: “The continuous spread of egregious misinformation is just plain wrong, and it would be irresponsible of me and a disservice to my family to not address it at this point. “I want to say loud and clear that these are toxic, baseless and disgusting rumours and none of them are true.” |
