Singer Leona, who got together with Liam after his split from long-term girlfriend Danielle Peazer, seems pretty smitten with the 19-year-old. She told LOOK magazine: "You’d be surprised how much we have in common. He’s great. We see each other when we can."
Leona, 27, has also insisted that she isn't bothered by their eight-year age difference. She continued: "If you have a bond with someone age doesn’t come into it. I’d date someone younger or older - it doesn’t matter to me. Or looks, really - it’s all about maturity.” The pair have never dated another pop star before, but Leona is optimistic they can make it work despite their hectic schedules.
She continued: “It can make it harder because they’re as busy as you are. I like relationships to start with friendship. I’ve had times where I’ve just been instantly attracted and gone straight into a relationship and it’s never worked.”
Liam has always confessed that Leona is his ultimate celebrity crush - his ex Danielle even looks strikingly similar to the pop star. Leona - who recently split with her German dancer boyfriend Dennis Jauch - admits she enjoyed being paid such compliments.
She added: "It’s very flattering to get things like that. It’s cute. I’m having fun and enjoying myself." In an interview last September, Liam said: "(Leona) is beautiful. I have liked her ever since she did the X Factor all of those years ago.” Rumours the pair were more than just friends came in September, after the pair were said to have enjoyed two nights out together. A source close to Liam said: “He is really excited about how things are going with Leona. “As soon as the chance came to ask her out he grabbed it - and they really enjoyed their dates together. “Although they were in London they managed to stay out of the limelight and are really into each other.” |
