TOWIE star Lucy Mecklenburgh debuts new blonde locksThe Only Way Is Essex star Lucy Mecklenburgh has gone for a drastic new look, dying her long dark brown locks blonde.
The 20-year-old excitedly debuted her new hair colour on last night’s episode of TOWIE, but received a mix reaction from her co-stars.
Women up and down the country shook their head in shared sympathy as Lucy’s fiancé Mario Falcone managed to say completely the wrong thing.
As she showed off her new lighter colour, which took a whopping five hours in the hairdressers to change, her 24-year-old beau loudly exclaimed: “Oh my god”.
Clearly it was not the reaction the model was after and she replied: “You’re gritting your teeth.” Managing to make it worse in that way that only men can, the tailor followed up his initial response with: “I don’t think it’s THAT bad. I still think you look beautiful.” Realising he needed to backtrack sharpish, Mario laid on the charm and said: “Making love to you like that, it’s going to be like cheating.” There’s nothing scarier than making a radical change to your hairstyle and the reality star was clearly looking for validation that she had done the right thing. Luckily Lucy got a better reaction from Bobby Norris, who shrieked as soon as he saw her new blonde do and declared that he loved it. It would appear that The Only Way Is Essex viewers loved her new look too as immediately after Sunday night's show #LucysLocks was trending. The reality star took to Twitter to thank her fans and wrote: "Thankyou for your lovely comments about my NEW hair!! Xxx" Alongside a photo of her new look, Lucy tweeted: "Sooo glad u all love my new hair as much as me!!! :-) x" It looks like the TOWIE star is about to find out whether blondes have more fun than brunettes! |
