Michelle Heaton to undergo heart surgery after health scareMichelle Heaton spent last night on a hospital ward after her long-term heart condition put her health in serious danger.
The former Liberty X singer was forced to admit herself into Watford General Hospital after arriving home from a sun-soaked holiday with BFF Katie Price.
Tweeting a picture of her hand hooked up to medical equipment, the mum-of-one wrote: “As you may or may not know I have suffered from long and scary heart problems over the years. Today it took a turn for the worst....”
The reality TV star also posted online a series of photos of her seven month old daughter Faith and her Irish businessman husband Hugh Hanley who were at her bedside following her admittance into hospital. But they obviously couldn’t stay the night and the 33-year-old seemed noticeably distressed as she suffered a sleepless night on the ward. Michelle tweeted: “Miss u both so much @hughhanley hate being without u-(& hate the snoring from the woman in next bed! Lol) #happyfamily” Later adding: “Bit of a rough night. Not nice hearing the cries of other patients in the ward .. It brings on your own sadness.. Hopefully discharged later.” Concerned fans took to Twitter to offer Michelle their support and good wishes. The singer later explained that although she hoped to be discharged from hospital today, she is to undergo surgery this afternoon in order to correct her heart condition. She explained: “Thank u for all your lovely comments. I am having a small operation to fit a 3 year heart recorder this afternoon It's scary but so grateful to #watfordgeneral #nhs 4looking after me & deciding this is best course of action. I'm sure the operation will b fine.” |
