WATCH VIDEO Nicki Minaj and Mariah's American Idol catfightAmerican Idol auditions had to be cancelled because of a vicious argument between judges Nicki Minaj and Mariah Carey.
It's alleged that Nicki threatened fellow diva Mariah during filming in Charlotte, North Carolina.Nicki's's reported to have called the mum-of-two a b*tch - though it's claimed that Mariah started the argument.
A source told Mouthtoears.com: "Nicki Minaj walked off of set because Mariah Carey kept making jabs at her. "Nicki’s manager and team convinced her to come back to the show. Mariah kept at it and called Nicki a b*tch and then proceeded to cuss her out. Producers had to stop filming and call it a night."
The row was caught on camera and it seems fellow judges Keith Urban and Randy Jackson were caught in the middle.
In the video - posted by TMZ - Nicki rants about Mariah: "I told them I'm not f*cking putting up with her f*cking highness over there. Figure it the f*ck out. Figure it out." Mariah is heard answering back, but it's unclear what she's saying. The argument - which has left producers worried about the future of the series - is said to have escalated after Nicki and Mariah disagreed about a contestant's performance. Things have apparently been tense from day one - in this season's first taping the pair were said to have talked over each other in a bid to get noticed. And it's claimed that singing veteran Mariah resents Nicki's place on the panel as she's a relative newcomer to the industry. A source said: "These girls just don't like each other." Show host Ryan Seacrest hinted at the drama on Twitter. He wrote last night: "Going to bed in Charlotte after an anything but dull day at #idol auditions. Hit u in morn."
