Pete Doherty thrown out of rehab in Thailand? Troubled rocker Pete Doherty has reportedly been thrown out of a rehab clinic in Thailand after a brief three-week stay.
The Libertines and Babyshambles frontman, who has had a well-publicised battle with crack cocaine and heroin, travelled to Chiang Mai in Thailand in a bid to finally shake his addictions.
Pete sought expert treatment at The Cabin, which has a high success rate of recovery but costs patients £7,200 a month. But Xfm.com have reported that staff at the facility have given him a “therapeutic discharge” and asked him to leave the centre early. Allegedly the singer was being a “disruptive influence” on other patients, although Programme Director Alastair Mordey has since said that the parting with Pete was "amicable". The rocker had cancelled a string of summer festivals and gigs to attend the remote jungle clinic in a last ditch attempt to get himself clean, following the death of his good friend Amy Winehouse last year. |
