Peter Andre reassured Emily MacDonagh's dad about romancePeter Andre has admitted that he called up Emily MacDonagh's dad after their romance was outed in the press.
The Mysterious Girl singer, 39, has been on a string of dates with 23-year-old Emily, who's the daughter of Peter's friend and former surgeon, Dr Ru. Pete's not bothered about their 16-year age gap, but he didn't like it when the press started labelling medical student Emily a "toygirl".
He tells New! magazine: "She is someone I have a lot of respect for so when they were saying, 'Pete's toygirl', I felt bad for her family. "I rang Dr Ru and he said, 'I know it's not you' but I wanted him to know people will realise Emily is a classy girl."
Pete seems smitten with brunette Emily, though he insists they're not officially boyfriend and girlfriend just yet. He's known Emily's family for a while and is confident that they're happy about the pair's blossoming romance. He added: "I don't want to speak for them but I would like to think that both our families absolutely adore each other." |
