Rachel McAdams involved in LA car accidentRachel McAdams was involved in a car accident in Los Angeles yesterday as her vehicle collided with another motorist.
According to The Sun, the 33-year-old was driving her red Mini Cooper when she accidentally rear-ended another car. The Notebook actress and the other driver escaped without serious injury and reportedly there wasn’t any significant damage to either car. After stopping to swap details, Rachel drove off but the other motorist was seen parking up so that they could continue the rest of their journey on foot. It’s not the best welcome home for the Sherlock Holmes actress as she’s only just returned to LA, after filming wrapped in the UK on her latest film About Time. In the movie Rachel plays Mary, the pregnant love interest of man who is able to time travel. About Time is the latest rom-com from film veteran Richard Curtis, who’s most famous for writing and directing Love Actually and The Boat That Rocked. The Canadian actress is set to star alongside Love Actually scene-stealer Bill Nighy and Harry Potter star Domhnall Gleeson, who will play the time-travelling lead Tim. Producers describe the film as “a fantastical feel-good movie about a man and his ability to travel back in time” who “eventually meets the girl of his dreams”. Originally the role was set to be played by New Girl star Zooey Deschanel, but she had to pull out due to scheduling conflicts. Strangely this will be the second time that Rachel stars in a time-travelling drama - as she also featured in 2009’s hit film The Time Traveller's Wife. |
