Just a week after Aliona Vilani fractured her ankle, Ola Jordan has broken the nose of her fellow professional dancer, James Jordan.

And to make matters a little more awkward, the pair are husband and wife!

Ola tweeted this afternoon: "Yes guys! It's true!!!! I have just broken my husbands nose!!! I'm so so sorry @The_JamesJordan I feel so bad!!!! I love you!!!!!!!!"

Ola - partnered with former EastEnders star Sid Owen - could've jeopardised James' chances to compete in the show's opening night this evening.

But brave James, whose celebrity apprentice is Denise Van Outen, has vowed to soldier on.

Denise missed her grandfather's funeral to train for the programme and hoped to appear in his "honour".

Another dancing pro, Artem Chigvintsev, was hurt today when Flavia Cacace hit him in the face with her elbow.

But he got off a bit more lightly and is just nursing a bruised cheek.

On the other hand, Aliona has been forced to pull out of the competition - at least for the time being - because of her fractured ankle.

She suffered the injury after her celebrity partner Johnny Ball made a wrong turn during their routine.

Her friend told MailOnline: “She was in terrible pain and couldn’t walk on the leg.

“She was rushed to the local hospital where she underwent an X-ray and has been banned from dancing until she can see a top consultant next week.

“She has been given a boot and a stick and told that she must rest up."

This all sounds more dangerous than Dancing on Ice!

Would you compete in SCD if you were a celebrity?
Yes, it sounds like so much fun!
No way, I'm too self-conscious and have zero rhythm
