Olympic diving champ Tom Daley scores high in A-LevelsOlympic bronze medallist Tom Daley has something else to celebrate today as he’s managed to score high again - this time with his A Level results!
Despite a relentless training schedule, the 18-year-old showed that his studies haven’t suffered as he picked up an impressive A for his Spanish A-level.
According to his A-level results sheet, which he uploaded on Twitter this morning, Tom scored nearly 100 percent in his speaking assessment, with 59 points out of 60 available.
He also received 112 out of 140 for the listening, reading and writing component, achieving an A grade overall.
Obviously delighted with his results, Tom tweeted to his 1.5 million followers: “I got an A in Spanish! Overall I have A* photography (A2), A Spanish (A2) and A maths (AS) :) thanks @PlymColleg1 :D.” Plymouth College quickly replied to the teenage diving sensation: “Brilliant, well done. A nice addition to your Olympic bronze medal!” As well as training for Rio, where he hopes to win a gold in the 2016 Olympics, Tom’s spokesman has confirmed that he will return to Plymouth in September to complete his maths A-level and to study Spanish at a higher level. Prior to picking up his results, the loveable Team GB diver tweeted: “Good luck to everyone collecting A Level results today!!! I am getting mine soon :O.” Tom has been a student at Plymouth College since April 2009 after leaving Eggbuckland Community College aged 15 due to bullying.
