Tulisa opens up about teenage sex attack horrorTulisa Contostavlos has alleged that she was sexually assaulted by a friend at the age of 16.
The X Factor judge was on a night out with friends eight years ago when they started putting pills in people's drinks - but she didn't want to get involved.
But as the evening progressed, Tulisa remembers feeling "abnormally drunk" and experiencing dizzy spells, even though she hadn't consumed much alcohol.
Things turned sinister when she stepped outside for some fresh air. She reveals in her book: "The next thing I remembered was waking up, lying in the back of a cab and seeing the street lights whizzing past me through the windows. I felt completely out of it, and I blacked out again." The next time she regained consciousness, Tulia found herself in an unfamiliar bedroom - and her friend was allegedly having non-consensual sex with her. She continues: "I couldn't even move, let alone get up or speak, and once again I just blacked out. When I finally woke up in the morning I found myself in a strange house." In the morning, the mother of the boy - believing Tulisa was her son's girlfriend - offered to make them both a cup of tea. And Tulisa admits she felt "so embarrassed and ashamed" that she didn't tell the boy's mum what had really happened. Tulisa adds: "I went into the bathroom and burst into tears. Then I pulled myself together, got dressed, and left without saying another word, crying all the way home." The former N-Dubz star has now "come to terms" with the ordeal, though she never reported the crime and the person who allegedly assaulted her was never brought to justice. Tulisa goes on to insist that if the attack happened now, she knows it would be a very different story because of her newfound strength. And we believe her. |
