Usher is devastated after his stepson has reportedly been announced brain dead following a terrible jet ski accident on Saturday (07.07.12).
Kyle Glover, 11, is in a critical condition at a hospital in Atlanta, Georgia, after he was apparently struck on the head by a 38-year-old man on a jet ski.
Kyle is the son of 33-year-old
Usher's ex-wife, Tameka Foster.
TMZ reports that doctors have now declared the young boy as brain dead and sources say Kyle hasn't showed any sign of brain activity since he was admitted.
Currently it’s unknown whether the family will take Kyle off life support.
The Georgia Department of Natural Resources officials are investigating the incident, which saw Kyle and a 15-year old girl hit by the jet ski as they sat in an inner tube being pulled by a speedboat.
Following the accident he was airlifted to hospital for immediate medical treatment.
Despite
Usher's bitter split from ex-wife Tameka in 2009, the distraught singer reportedly chartered a plane for her to be by her son's side, and according to TMZ she was “extremely thankful” for the kind gesture.
Tameka and
Usher are currently embroiled in a bitter custody battle over their two young sons, Usher Raymond V, 5, and Naviyd Ely Raymond, 4, with both seeking full custody.
