'Drummer Boy' is the latest single from our favorite fiesty pop princess Alesha Dixon - check out her red hot video here on sofeminine.co.uk. Produced by The Trackstarz’ Sham (used to working with pop greats such as Usher and, Britney), ‘Drummer Boy’, is a fantastically quirky slice of pop which we think is destined to become a dancefloor anthem. The heavy drum lines, and insistent rhythm give the track a real carnival feel - and with Alesha MCing on the track - returning to her Misteeq roots - it seems that after a rollercoaster 10 years in the music industry Alesha is here to stay. “What I love most about it is that it feels like an event, and that’s why I wanted it as the first single. It feels like the beginning of something and I wanted to take people on a journey with the album,” Alesha says. We can't wait to hear the rest of the album, which looks set to be a fearless and fun collection of R&B influenced pop tracks with an MC twist. As Alesha says “the tougher the sounds and the louder, noisier and more outrageous it is, the happier I am. I don’t like playing it safe.” Drummer Boy is released 5th September. | |||||||||
