I am not against a celebrity if she/he were straight to adopt a child, it gives that child a good home and upbringing with a happier healthy life, after all the original father and mother shouldnt of dumped the child(ren). thats wicked, its just as bad as abortion.I know if i didnt have my son and my husband and i were childless we would adopt a child or maybe children., some orphanages are in bad shape.i feel sorry for the child(ren).

What is the judge thinking? I f by adopting this infant she is giving it the chace of a happy life why not let her do this. After all with so many people in this world on the edge of poverty let those who can lend a hand. If this were an animal what would be the outcome then?

So where will this little girl get "undivided and unconditional time and attention" in AN ORPHANAGE ?? AND where will THESE REAL PROSPECTIVE ADOPTERS COME FROM ???? MALAWI ??? Have a Heart for this little girl who could have a future!!! What will she have to look forward to staying where she is ??

I think Madona just wants to have the attention that Angelina Jolle gets. If she just wanted to adobt why wouldnt she look for a poor disadvantaged kid in our foster care system or who has been orphaned. She is not doing this for the child or any child. She is being her normal attention grabbing selfish self.

A celebrity, like any other person, has the right to adopt any child in which they can provide a stable, safe, loving, educated, household. This holds true irregardless of what nationality that child is from. Madonna was not the first nor will she be the last celebrity to adopt a child. Example: Angelina Jolie and Josephine Baker.

what would the child say when she knows that Madonna wanted to adopt her but the judge didn't accept??!! she had a hope of living a life of that kind and it was taken from her!

I think its disgusting that celebrities use their status and money to "buy" children to add to their vast portfolio of material possessions. My question is whose needs are they meeting - their own or the childs?

There are lots of people out there who can't have children and who don't have the finances and connections at their disposal that celebs have.

These children need to experieince REAL family life and love in their own culture - and whilst celebs can give the children "material" items and a lavish lifestyle their many nannies and hangers on - are no replacement for that mother or father bond and precious time spent together.

These REAL prospective adopters have to go through hours and hours of painstaking and intrusive assessment - this process is not only a test of their commitment and dedication to children they may have to come to adopt but also a well thought through and tested rpocess to ensure the right parents are found for children who need love, understanding, enrichment and
most of all their new parents undivided and unconditional time and attention.

It is right that Mercy is kept in Malawi. Madonna should now make a considerable donation to the orphanage for the benefit of all the children there
