Matthew Fox, the survivor
Matthew in the TV series In Lost, Matthew Fox plays Jack Shephard, a Los Angeles surgeon, who was onboard the infamous Oceanic Airlines flight that crashed onto a deserted island. Not unsteadied, Jack immediately becomes the leader of his new friends, the other survivors of the crash. He's the one who organises the group, looks after those who are ill and gives a lesson in morale to deviants. Fortunately, he falls for the charms of Kate, and his character, which was in danger of becoming insufferably domineering, becomes a bit more human. In 2004, Matthew received a Golden Satellite Award for his role in the series.
Matthew in real life Stable and structured, you're not likely to see Matthew drunkenly stumbling out of a night club! An economics graduate from Columbia University, he was on his way to a career on Wall Street… until his fiancée's mother, a modelling agent, persuaded him to try his hand at modelling. He appeared in a few adverts before taking acting lessons. Along came a few little roles before his role as the rational older brother in the sitcom Party of Five gave him the chance to prove his worth. But he had to wait until 2004 to encounter true success with Lost. He has since become the face of L'Oréal for their male-targeted cosmetics range. Matthew lives in Hawaii with his wife and their two children. They got married in 1991 and their relationship is still going strong... unheard of in Hollywood!
