Don't believe the
old wife's tales, there's no such thing as a miracle, but certain foods
can definately give your libido a little boost. Try out the ideas below.
Chocolate and coffee to stimulate the senses:
Both of these will pep you up, as they cause the body to produce pleasure
hormones, or endorphins. Most people would agree that these two substances
alone are enough to get your mouth watering!
Wine to get things moving:
As we all know, wine can have a lightening effect on the mood, removing
inhibitions and improving confidence. But be careful, too much can make
you sleepy, which is not the desired effect...
Spicy food:
Spices are known to warm the body, but their aphrodisiac power
has not yet been proven. (A warm body will make it easier
to take off your clothes, however...)
Ginger, the Viagra of the East:
Ginger causes the blood vessels to dilate, which is why in Chinese medicine
it is often prescribed to men, to improve circulation.
Don't go over the top with fresh ginger, you will both end up in bed with
painful stomach cramps. Try making tea from ginger root and sipping slowly
instead.
Ginseng and seafood, for love and longevity:
Trace elements found in both seafood and ginseng are extremely good for
you and give a sense of well-being, which is why they are recommended
for general good health. You don't need to be an expert to work out why
eating oysters is erotic.
Truffles and vanilla, exotic flavours:
Smell plays an important role in sexual desire, as it stimulates all the
other senses. Truffles have a musky, masculine fragrance, while vanilla
gives off a sweet, warm scent. Both induce a feeling of luxury and comfort,
which will help relaxation.
