Kat and Alfie attend an appointment at the council office however their optimism soon turns to gloom when the council officer tells them the waiting list for a council house in Walford is a long time. The officer tells them there are some houses available in Hull however, as Kat and Alfie make a life-changing decision, nothing prepares them for the future they’re about to face when Kat finally discovers the truth about Alfie.
Stan, Shirley and Johnny are persuaded to dress up for The Vic’s Christmas grotto and upset at the realisation this is his last Christmas, Stan makes amends with Cora and they decide to continue their relationship.
Lauren is horrified to discover that Emma has handed her laptop over to the police.
A distraught Pam locks herself away after Les tells her that their son, Paul won’t be coming for Christmas. However Billy and Les have a plan which is sure to put a smile back on her face.
