Beyoncé unveiled her Thierry Mugler stage costumes when she kicked off her world tour in Edmonton, Canada on Thursday night.
The R'n'B star appeared dressed in a series of warrior couture designs that reflect both Beyoncé's on-stage alter ego Sasha Fierce and her more private, publicity-shy persona as wife of hip-hop mogul Jay-Z. "Sasha Fierce is another aspect of Beyoncé’s personality. She is Fierce on stage and Beyoncé in real life. I tried to understand these two sides with my own perception of both aspects," said Mugler, who is acting as creative adviser for the tour.
The UK leg of the "I am...Sasha Fierce" tour kicks off in Newcastle on 22nd May.
