There are many changes afoot at London's iconic shop, Liberty and one of the most exciting is a call to British creatives to take part in an Open Design Day on Saturday April 25th.
If you think you have a product that should be sold at Liberty, rock along and show your wares to the expert panel which includes Sarah Mower, Liberty's Creative Consultant Yasmin Sewell, newly appointed Head of Buying Ed Burstell and Daily Telegraph's Design Editor David Nicholls. In the spirit of Arthur Lasenby Liberty who travelled the world in search of unusual, quirky quality items to be sold in the shop, the new team at Liberty is very keen to reflect the emerging design talents here in Britain.
Registration is now closed for April 25th's Open Day, but designers can sign up to show in the autumn (email autumnopencall@liberty.co.uk).
As well as a crop of new designers who'll be selling through the shop, visitors from anywhere in the world can now take advantage of the Liberty online shop which sells everything from Liberty prints to chocolate.
