We heart Jianhui jewellery

When you design jewellery as gorgeous as this you don't really need an inspiring back-story of rural Chinese urchin to fabulous London designer.

However, Jianhui's incredible tale is the inspiration behind his collection rather than just a diverting sob story and that just makes us love him even more.

Too poor to pay the 20p tuition fee at the local school, Jianhui spent much of his childhood running around the countryside and it's the flowers and people he encountered that inspire his jewellery work today.

We absolutely adore this wooden necklace-come-pashmina-wrap made from ethically sourced wood.

Available in a range of colours each 15-strand wooden beads necklace is around £108 from Jianhui, London.
