Mia Tyler, a plus-size model and author whose dad is Aerosmith's Steven Tyler, is promoting her clothing range for bigger ladies online. Mia launched the label with Victoria Baker Winfrey in May 2009 and they have seen a major success with their staple Holy Grail T-shirt which is designed to be worn both as a top and a dress. "The most comfortable shirt you will ever wear - we call it body armour." The first drop sold out within two days of becoming available.
In her autobiography, Creating Myself, Mia is candid about her troubled childhood which involved both drug abuse and self-harm. As well as running the clothing website www.revolution1228.com, Mia is also using her MySpace page to promote positive body images and celebrate women of all sizes. A new collection for Revolution 1228 is in the pipeline and should be online shortly.
