Handbag lovers please forgive us for we hate to be the bearers of bad news, but sadly there won't be a Mulberry catwalk show come London Fashion Week. The It-bag label has cancelled its A/W 2014 show in February as they continue to search for a replacement Creative Director for Emma Hill. Forget totes, we need tissues all round.

London Fashion Week is always full of drama but this time it's started early with Mulberry's announcement that they will not be holding a LFW catwalk show in February. Read and weep.

The decision comes as the company has yet to finalise its Creative Director search, however the brand "will definitely be participating in London Fashion Week and details of this will be released in the near future."

The company's former head of design, Emma Hill, hung up her Mulberry boots in September and since then the luxury British label has been on the hunt for a replacement.

There's been plenty of successor rumours bubbling away with Mary Katrantzou and Rolant Mouret both being tipped as the big name favourites, but no one has been confirmed.

No Mulberry front row? No new arm candy to covet? And no Mulberry doggies on the catwalk? It doesn't bare thinking about!
