Who better to describe a collection than the designer himself? Greek-Cypriot, Paris based designer Erotokritos tell us about his latest collection:
"My work on the spring - summer 2010 collection began taking form after a lazy walk in the area where I grew up, Nicosia-Chypre [Cyprus]… I drove past the local cinema that’s now closed. All at once, everything became clear. The idea of something modern but washed-out, something nostalgic yet pop and dynamic… But, I didn’t want a retro style collection, so I used silks, and brocades and luxurious embroideries for formal evening wear and classic masculine shirts for structured and feminine daywear dresses… the structure is very original in the collection but I wanted to give it a simpler dimension by basing the principal patterns on the rectangle of a big T-shirt …"
