As Jaeger celebrates 125 years, SELENE PEARSON takes a look at one of the most enduring British luxury brands.
In February 2009 Jaeger London showed just its third London Fashion Week catwalk show in all of its 125 year history. Since the turn of the millennium, the brand has undergone a veritable renaissance. With headline-grabbing garments becoming favourites of the fashion-pack and celebrities (Alexa Chung, Laura Bailey and Erin O’Connor lined the most recent front row), it’s clear that Jaeger is no longer the hidden gem of wardrobes around the country. It’s now the proud favourite.
